Snug Harbor – Chinese Scholars Garden

Last month I went with Sarah to Snug Harbor Chinese Scholars Garden in Staten Island. Click here to read about this amazing garden. The first time I went was nearly a decade ago when I was with my Chinese school class. Back then I was too young to appreciate how wonderful and tranquil the  rock garden was and my only care was if I would be back home in time to catch the next episode of Pokemon. This time around, Sarah and I spent nearly four hours just sitting, photographing and appreciating all the peacefulness that was around us. Every view is masterfully recreated and you get a sense that you are in 18th century China. In addition to the Chinese Scholars Garden, Snug Harbor also has 8 other gardens to explore.
